Included in this file are two resources, an icl4 and a TMPL (Template). To use them,
use ResEdit to open the "ResEdit Preferences" file (located in your System folder
under System 6.0.x, or in your Preferences folder under 7.0.x).
Now open the "sysz Resource Editor" file and copy both resources into the clipboard
by shift-clicking on both of them or choosing "Select All" from the Edit menu.
Click in the ResEdit preferences window and hit cmd-V or choose Paste from the
Edit menu. If ResEdit asks you whether you want to replace the resources with the
same ID's, click the "Unique ID" button, or important information may be erased. Close both windows and click "Yes" when it asks if you want to save the changes you made.
That's it!
Usage:
Well, besides having another cool icon to look at while you sniff around in programs with sysz resources, you can use this editor to change the amount of heap space a program allocates for itself when running. This can be useful for programs that crash under low memory conditions and other similar problems. Or you can just do nothing with it - after all, it's free!
